This Non-Exclusive Beat Lease Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between BlockaBeatz / Blocka ("Producer") and the purchaser ("Lessee") at the moment of purchase. By completing checkout, Lessee agrees to the terms below.
Upon payment of the lease fee, Producer grants Lessee a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased beat ("the Beat") to record one (1) vocal performance for use in one (1) commercial song, subject to the usage limits listed in the License Terms above.
Producer retains full and exclusive ownership of the Beat at all times, including the master recording and underlying instrumental composition. This Agreement grants a license to use the Beat — it does not transfer ownership, copyright, or any exclusive rights. Because this is a non-exclusive lease, Producer may continue to lease the Beat to other artists.
Producer retains fifty percent (50%) of the publishing (songwriter) share of any song created using the Beat. Lessee is entitled to the remaining fifty percent (50%) for their lyrics and vocal performance. This split applies regardless of streaming numbers or the size of the release.
Before the song is released or distributed to any platform (streaming services, YouTube, physical product, etc.), Lessee must contact Producer at Blocka9od@gmail.com to confirm final songwriter and publishing percentages and ensure Producer is properly registered with the relevant Performing Rights Organization (PRO) and/or distributor. This step is required prior to every release using the Beat.
Lessee agrees to credit Producer as "Prod. by Blocka" (or as otherwise instructed) in the song title, video description, and/or liner notes wherever reasonably possible.
Lessee may not resell, sublicense, or transfer the Beat to any third party, and may not claim ownership or authorship of the Beat itself. Lessee may not register the underlying instrumental with any PRO, content ID system, or copyright office. Use of the Beat beyond the limits listed in the License Terms above requires an upgraded or exclusive license — contact Producer to arrange this.
This license remains in effect for as long as Lessee complies with the terms of this Agreement. Producer reserves the right to terminate the license and request removal or takedown of any release found to be in violation of these terms.
By completing a purchase on this website, Lessee confirms they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Lease Agreement in full.
